World well known food : Spring Rolls


I like to make my own spring rolls as I have said my family is very fuzzy and choosy in term of food, particularly that they knows I can make it according to their taste buds.

Ingredients :

1 pack Spring rolls skins

1 cup Glass noodles (already soaked in the water and soft)

2 cup Cabbages (shredded)

1 cup Carrot (shredded)

1 clove Garlic (grated or chopped)

1 thumb size grated ginger

2 tbsp light soy sauce

1 tbsp maple syrup (or sugar)

2 tbsp cooking oil

and enough oil for deep fried

1 egg lightly beaten

Instructions :

In the mixing bowl add raw cabbage and carrot set aside.

In the hot pan add oil, ginger, and garlic stir for 30 second add glass noodles, soy sauce, sugar stir well then pour glass noodle into cabbage and carrot bowl mix with wooden spoon very quickly until combined.

Follow picture below how to fold a perfect spring rolls.

Once you have done all the filling, deep fried until brown and crispy.

Served with sweet and sour sauce.

COOKING TIPS

Always soak glutinous rice (sticky rice) with cold water for at least 3 hours or overnight.
