Mrs Weasley's Rock Cakes - Rock Cake Recipe

Ron's mum, Mrs Weasley, is a great baker and one of her favorite cakes to make are Rock Cakes. Rock cakes are delightful spicy, They are one of the quickest and easiest cakes to make.

Ingredients

350g self-Rising Flour

175g butter or margarine

175g sugar

1/2 tsp salt

1 tsp fresh grated ground nutmeg

1 egg

2 tbsp milk

Preheat oven 190c. or gas mark 5

Mix flour, butter, sugar, salt and nutmeg together in a large bowl and lightly rub together with fingertips until the mixture becomes fine breadcrumbs.

In a small bowl beat egg and milk together and pour into flour mixing bowl and gently mix to create dough.

Divide the mixture into 12 dough evenly spaced on the baking sheets and bake for 20 minutes or until golden brown.
